We are a Registered Charity (No. 506890), formed in 1977, based at our studio in Ripley, just north of Harrogate.

Around 100 to 140 listeners currently enjoy our:

Fortnightly newspaper (MP3 format) using articles taken from the local newspapers for Harrogate and surrounding areas including Knaresborough, Pateley Bridge, Ripon and Wetherby

How we do what we do

Every fortnight we edit, compile, present and record the events and news at our sound studio close to Ripley Castle.

Each Talking Newspaper edition runs for approximately one and a half hours.

Our master recording is copied onto individual memory sticks. These get posted to our listeners to play in the comfort of their homes.

. . . and then we start again for the next week!
